Questions About “Where Are My Beats?”
1. I don’t think these two genres have barely anything in common at all. They are completely different from each other except for the fact that they were both music and created by people. They do not shed light on each other at all and all the author did was share the history of both of the two genres, instead of sharing the similarities. I don’t have any suggestions are how to compare these two because they are so different
2. I feel like the essay describes the two music genres really well and explains the history of both in depth. The author did not compare them well at all.
3. The author only had one point in that it was how the two were made from people to express themselves. This is not a good point because that’s what all music has in common. Also, not only did he just have one point he didn’t elaborate on it at all. All the author talked about what was the music came from and explained the two apart from each other.
4. The author does a horrible job comparing the two. The reader can contrast between the two just from the detailed descriptions of the two genres and how different they are. The comparison did not help me but the history of the genres was interesting.
